HANDBOOK

The District of Columbia State Athletic Association’s (DCSAA) ‘Policies, Rules, and Regulations Governing Athletics Handbook for Members’ is a culmination of multiple collaborative discussions with key stakeholders, such as parents, administrators, teachers, and coaches, who are dedicated to interscholastic athletics in the District of Columbia. Since its formation in 2012, DCSAA’s mission is to create a unified system by which to govern and administer interscholastic athletic programs and to provide statewide competitions for public schools, public charter schools, private schools and parochial schools.

For the 2023-24 school year, this handbook should be used as template and guidance for Local Education Agencies (LEAs) to assist in the administration of athletic programs.
