Paul VI girls keep their composure and hold off St. John’s on the road
The fans in the St. John’s gym grew louder as the Cadets girls’ basketball team cut into Paul VI’s lead in the fourth quarter Thursday night. The Panthers had dominated for three quarters, but St. John’s held momentum midway through the final period.
Nobody on Paul VI’s bench panicked. Coach Scott Allen had watched the Panthers win crucial games in intense atmospheres last season, and he was confident they would do it again.
