MEDIA ADVISORY: DCSAA WINTER STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Student-athletes from across Washington, D.C., next week will begin competing for DC State Athletic Association winter state championships.
The action begins Monday, Feb 13, with the diving portion of the DCSAA Swimming Championships beginning at 3:45 p.m. at the Takoma Aquatic Center in Northwest. The remainder of the DCSAA Swimming Championships takes place Wednesday, Feb. 15, at the Wilson Aquatic Center in Northwest, beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The DCSAA Indoor Track and Field Championships will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14, at the Prince George’s Sports and Learning Center. Competition begins at 10 a.m.
The DCSAA Wrestling Championships will be held Saturday, Feb 18. at St. Albans School in Northwest. Competition begins at 8:30 a.m. with finals expected to take place in the early afternoon.
Admission for the swimming, indoor track and wrestling championships is free.
The DCSAA Basketball Championships begin on Monday, February 27. The Class A boys and girls semifinals will be played on Thursday, March 2, and the Class AA boys and girls semifinals will be played on Friday, March 3; all semifinal games are scheduled to be played at Georgetown University’s McDonough Arena. The DCSAA Basketball Championships conclude with four state championship games on Sunday, March 5 at George Washington University’s Charles E. Smith Center.
