All students in the District of Columbia are expected to comply with the immunization requirements.

• Schools must conduct outreach to families of non-compliant students in all grades.
• Outreach should include, but not be limited to, the following:
Information in enrollment packets about immunization requirements;
Outreach to all families of non-compliant students in the spring to encourage them to get immunized before the start of the 2023-24 school year; and o Targeted outreach to all families of non-compliant students beginning in September and continuing throughout the school year. GRADES PRE-K 3, KINDERGARTEN, 7 AND 11
• Students in grades pre-K 3, kindergarten, 7 and 11 will be temporarily excluded from school after Count Day due to immunization non-compliance.
• In addition to the outreach that occurs for all grades, schools must also implement the exclusion process for noncompliant students in grades pre-K 3, kindergarten, 7 and 11.
• This process includes the following: o From Oct. 13-25: Accessing the school’s list of non-compliant students via the Immunization Compliance Portal and developing warning notifications of temporary exclusion for all non-compliant students in grades pre-K 3, kindergarten, 7 and 11;
