With the St. John’s traveling student section on its feet behind him, the senior caught the ball behind the arc and fired away. Then he did it again, and then again, hitting three threes in a short span in the third quarter of the Cadets’ 61-54 road victory Tuesday night in Hyattsville.
After building a healthy lead in the first half behind its defense, No. 2 St. John’s relied on some timely shots to hold off the top-ranked Stags.
