Boys Basketball: Eastern’s Jamarko Pickett Enjoys A Breakthrough, On The Court And The Recruiting Trail

Eastern boys’ basketball Coach Emmanuel Kakulu knew his team might take its lumps during the non-conference schedule he set up for this season. But he never expected an 0-6 start. So with D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association league play in full swing last month, Kakulu pulled aside senior Jamarko Pickett for a motivational talk.
