Last Thursday, St. Anselm’s senior Nathan Dangle had the worst kind of birthday blowout.
Dangle’s 18th birthday coincided with the last day he would don a uniform for the all boys prep school off South Dakota Avenue in Northeast Washington. After St. Anselm’s was eliminated by St. Albans, 15-2, in the first round of the District of Columbia Athletic Association baseball tournament, Dangle removed his catcher’s gear, went home and opened an AP Physics book.
