Now in its third year, the Student-Athlete Academic Scholarship program is a key component of the District of Columbia State Athletic Association’s commitment to the District’s student-athletes.

Sponsored by Modell’s Sporting Goods and Wendy’s restaurants, the scholarship program awards $1,000 college scholarships to several of the city’s top scholar-athletes based on their success in the classroom and athletics and their contributions in the community. After this year, the scholarship program will have awarded 53 scholarships.
