When IDEA boys’ basketball Coach James Pope convinced senior Kierell Green to play organized basketball for the first time two years ago, Green’s motivation was pretty simple. He was a 6-foot-6 junior who couldn’t yet dunk.
He accomplished that goal before even playing a game for the Timberwolves, slamming home a basket during the team’s fall league in 2014. Green hasn’t stopped rising since then.
