As Friendship Collegiate football Coach Mike Hunter explains it, the Knights always wanted to play a more local schedule.Every year, he put out calls to area coaches because games around the city, in front of parents, recruits and the school’s student body, were usually a more attractive option than the out-of-town opponents the Knights often faced due to their independent status.
