That Maret attracted as many fans as it did for Saturday’s game against Flint Hill was noteworthy for Coby Davis. The senior estimated that the Frogs usually have about 20 supporters.
So when a swarm of green-clad Maret fans hopped over the barricade at St. Albans School and stormed the field to celebrate their team’s 43-14 win over Flint Hill, Davis couldn’t help marveling at the moment.
It was a historic afternoon for Maret (8-0, 3-0), which is guaranteed at least a share of the Mid-Atlantic Athletic Conference title for the first time in school history.
