With their football season shrouded in controversy this fall, Ballou sophomore Tarajah Ruffin and his teammates elected to adopt an “everybody against us,” mindset, he said this week. Apparently, that also applied to their new football field.
Though the Southeast Washington school’s stadium was not complete yet, community members and alumni fought to hold homecoming there on Thursday night. It had been four years since Ballou played host to a football game due to its recent campus modernization, so none of the current Knights cared that there are cosmetic enhancements left to be done before they play a full slate of home games there next fall.
