A Massive Growth Spurt Has Ricardo Lindo and Wilson On The Rise

Wilson boys’ basketball Coach Angelo Hernandez followed junior Ricardo Lindo closely on the summer basketball circuit and never noticed the rising junior was changing before his eyes. But then the July evaluation period ended, and Hernandez didn’t see Lindo again until the beginning of the school year in late August.

When the two reconvened, Hernandez’s initial reaction was shock, as in “What is going on here?”

Lindo stood next to Wilson’s tallest player, center Josiah Marable, and had about an inch on him. Only then did it occur to Hernandez and Lindo that the point guard had morphed from a skinny 6-foot-1 beanpole into an intriguing 6-foot-7 college prospect in a matter of months.
