Woodson’s Charles Peeler Is Too Versatile For College Football Recruiters To Ignore

H.D. Woodson quarterback Tyron Robinson went down with an injury in the fourth quarter of Saturday’s DC State Athletic Association Class AA championship game and the Warriors’ coaches knew exActly who they had to turn to. Senior Charles Peeler had done just about everything else for Woodson this season, so why not give quarterback a try?

Though the Warriors eventually lost to Friendship Collegiate, 13-0, this seemed a fitting conclusion to the career of one of the Washington area’s most versatile football players. Peeler finished his senior season with seven interceptions and three touchdowns on defense, eight touchdowns on offense and eight special teams touchdowns.
