The H.D. Woodson boys’ basketball team made history last season by delivering the District’s first unbeaten public school campaign since 1985.
But the Warriors’ title defense has been mired in roster changes and lingering eligibility questions.
Senior Tunde Scrivner, who began the school year at IDEA , transferred to nearby H.D. Woodson ahead of the basketball season. After missing the first three weeks of the season, the 6-foot-1 guard was ruled eligible by the D.C. State Athletic Association to join the No. 17 Warriors on Dec. 22 and took the floor that day for a tournament game in Virginia Beach.
