Anacostia’s full-court press is simple, but it’s also energy consuming. The moment the ball is inbounded, the Indians hound the ball-handler all the way down court, ending possesions before they start, and closing out games before the fourth quarter.
That was what happened Thursday against Wilson at the Title IX DC Classic. In a rematch of the D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association final, Anacostia avenged its loss by riding its full-court press to an emphatic 62-32 victory.
