Ayinde Hikim looked over his shoulders to make sure he was alone, then peeked at the packed bleachers to his left, seeing that everyone was watching.
Then the Wilson junior took off, launching his 5-foot-10 frame into the air and slamming a one-handed dunk.
There were still three quarters remaining, but the junior made a statement right then that the Tigers were the team to beat in Wednesday night’s D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association final against Theodore Roosevelt.
