Mya Moye looked up at the scoreboard midway through the third quarter of Wednesday’s D.C. Interscholastic Athletic Association championship game against Dunbar and a red “30” flashed on the screen. She had already scored 30 points with more than 12 minutes remaining in the game.
“I can get 50,” Moye thought to herself. “Why not?”
