Georgetown Visitation Beats Holy Child To Win ISL AA Title For The 12th Straight Year

All season, girls’ basketball coaches in the Independent School League AA division raved about how competitive the league was this year. Holy Child had a lot of talent, as did Bullis. Sidwell Friends and Flint Hill were playing great, too. Up and down the conference, solid squads made conference games unpredictable and kept the standings in flux.

Except for Georgetown Visitation. The Cubs were the one constant in the conference this season, as they are just about every year. Their success had become more predictable than the buzzer at the end of a game. On Sunday, Visitation defeated Holy Child, 49-38, to win the ISL AA tournament and claim the league championship for the 12th straight season.
