Ten local athletics figures were chosen for the DC State Athletic Association Hall of Fame last week, the second group to be picked for the honor after last year’s inaugural selections.
Among the choices are former NBA player Dave Bing — an alum of the now-closed Spingarn High School and a former mayor of Detroit. Two former Cardozo coaches also got the call: Frank P. Bolden, a basketball coach who later became the longtime director of Health and Physical Education for D.C. Public Schools, and Sal Hall, who led the Clerks to eight straight undefeated football seasons.
