The weather is getting colder, and the football games are getting more important as the playoffs near. Friday night provided more drama in the Washington Catholic Athletic Conference as DeMatha traveled to Good Counsel and shut down the Falcons, 32-2.
The Falcons were one of two top-10 teams to go down; in Loudoun County, Stone Bridge fell to unranked Tuscarora. Elsewhere in Virginia, Westfield fended off Centreville to remain undefeated and hold onto its spot in the rankings. Some of the other top programs in the area weren’t so lucky.
